For Universities

Nostia-Orgs

Orientation that doesn't end in September.

An institutional subscription covering the AI campus tours that get a first-year oriented, the introduction events you host to bring a cohort together, and every club meeting, involvement fair and residence-life event across the year.

Organization accounts are set up with you directly — there is no self-serve signup.

What a university needs it to do

Five problems a student-life office has every autumn, with the same staff and the same budget as last year.

Get a whole cohort oriented in a week
A few thousand people arrive at once and have to find buildings, offices and each other before teaching starts. There are not enough staff and student leaders to walk all of them, and the ones who need it most are the ones who do not ask.
Fill the events you have already paid for
The orientation programme, the involvement fair and the welcome socials are budgeted whether or not anyone turns up. The problem was never supply — it is that a first-year cannot find out what is on tonight.
Keep clubs alive past September
Clubs collect sign-ups they have no way to contact. Every club that quietly folds in October takes a dozen students' reason to stay with it.
Show that it worked
Student life is asked for a retention story every spring and answers with a headcount and a survey nobody trusts. What is missing is where a cohort actually went, while there is still time to change it.
Without starting an IT project
No integration to negotiate, no engineering time to request, no data warehouse to stand up. One institutional account, authored by the people who run the programme.

What you get

Eight things, in the order they answer the five above.

AI campus tours
A self-paced guided route that takes a student to the door they actually need, tells them what happens once they are inside, and answers what they are looking at along the way. Run it during orientation week, and leave it up all year for transfers, exchange students and anyone who arrives late.
Orientation and introduction events
Move-in, faculty welcomes, socials, the involvement fair — everything the institution puts on to get a cohort through the door, published once and findable by every student who downloaded the app.
Clubs
Every recognised club gets a page, a calendar and a membership. The eleven sign-ups a student scrawled at the involvement fair become eleven clubs that can actually reach them.
Verified attendance
A geofence dwell plus photo judging proves a student was physically at the stop or the meeting. Participation figures a club and a student-life office can both stand behind, rather than a sign-in sheet nobody audits.
Chat and announcements
Built into the app the meetings already live in. A club officer posts once and reaches the members who joined — no separate group chat, no student left off it.
Analytics
Per-stop and per-event drop-off across a whole cohort, scoped to the version people actually walked. Small groups are suppressed, so a figure can never identify a student.
Authoring
Any staff member, orientation leader or club officer builds a route or an event without engineering help — per-stop text, a verification criterion, a reference photo, and a geofence. Authored on mobile, standing at the stop you are anchoring.
Distribution and branding
Printed QR on a residence-hall door or an orientation packet, and invite codes scoped to a single club. The code survives an App Store install, so a poster works on a first-year who has never heard of Nostia. Departments keep their own identity inside one institutional account.

What this is not

Nostia is not a classroom tool. It does not track attendance in lectures, it holds no grades, it does not integrate with your SIS as a roll-marking system, and no professor is asked to run anything from a podium. What it covers is the events an institution hosts and the clubs its students join — orientation, involvement, and everything that keeps a first-year turning up after the welcome week ends.

How it works

  1. 01

    Author it

Student life builds its own — a Welcome Week tour route walked once on mobile, an orientation calendar, and a club roster handed to the officers who run them. No engineering ticket, no waiting on IT.

  2. 02

    Publish and distribute

Publish into the Nostia app, print the QR for residence-hall doors and orientation packets, and hand invite codes to the clubs that need them.

  3. 03

    Read the funnel

Watch where a cohort went and where it dropped off, stop by stop and event by event, while the term is still running and you can still act on it.

What you can actually see

Every rate arrives with its denominator, and aggregates over a handful of people are withheld until enough people have taken part. Walk analytics never name who took part; named check-ins appear only for events where your school requires attendance.

Security and privacy

The protections are on before you ask for them.

Protected by default

Encryption in transit and at rest, scoped tokens, and role separation between an owner who can change billing and an admin who cannot. Not an upgrade — the floor.

Analytics stay anonymous

Walk analytics never name who took part, and figures covering fewer than five distinct people are withheld server-side, because an aggregate over three people on a small campus is a name. Named check-ins exist only for events where your school requires attendance, and only the club and school staff who run them see them.

Hardened deployments

Institutions with a compliance office to answer to can run on dedicated servers under a hardened configuration. Bring the requirement to the meeting and we will scope it.

Bring us the hard question.

A demo is twenty minutes: walk a stop, watch it verify, and read the funnel it produced. Already set up? Billing and analytics live in the console, and authoring happens in the app, where you can stand at the stop you are anchoring.
